IBS Tales has been online since 2001 and is one of the most well-known and most visited IBS sites on the internet. The site has been mentioned in a wide range of newspapers, magazines, websites and books, including The Daily Telegraph, Cosmopolitan magazine, and WebMD. It is run by Sophie Lee, who has suffered from IBS for 20 years.
Flat-fee advertising is now available at competitive rates. Adverts will appear on every page of the IBS Tales website, including the homepage and every page of my blog.
Bookings are based on calendar months, so if your campaign starts on the 6 January and you have booked three months of ads then your adverts will be shown until 6 April. The following ad units are available. To see where the ads will appear on the page have a look at these ad placements.
Advertisers who book for three months or longer, or who book two ad spots simultaneously, will receive a free 150-word sponsorship spot in my email newsletter, which is sent out to more than 3,800 subscribers.
Skyscraper (120x600) or wide skyscraper (160x600)
Skyscraper ads and wide skyscraper ads are available for the same price, and will appear in the left-hand sidebar of the site, with most of the skyscraper appearing above the fold of the page. On my blog skyscapers appear on the right-hand side of every page.
Standard banner (468x60)
Standard banner are placed in a prime position at the top right of the site, next to the site logo, and are repeated in the footer of every page as well. On my blog banners appear at the end of every blog entry.
Advert specifications
I accept jpg, gif, animated gif and flash (.swf) files. Jpg and gif files should be no more than 35k maximum, flash files no more than 100k maximum. If you are using a flash file then please make sure the link to your site is fully set-up within the file before sending it to me. There are no animation restrictions but I don't accept adverts that include sound.
E-mail newsletter sponsorship
I send a monthly IBS e-mail newsletter out to more than 3,800 subscribers. For a small fee you can sponsor one edition of the newsletter, inserting around 150 words of text and a URL link into the newsletter. To see an example of the newsletter and a previous sponsor click here.
You are welcome to use the email sponsorship to promote an IBS-related product, to reach IBS sufferers for a survey or article, or for any other IBS project.

If you would like to arrange a booking then please contact me with the details of what you are interested in. I will get back to you within 48 hours with confirmation of what I have available and the pricing. If you are booking skyscraper or standard banner ads and I have the space available I can have your ads online within 48 hours.
Advertisers are asked to provide their own advert designs. Please note that this site does not sell text links or pagerank, and so if you would like your banner to be linked directly to your website (rather than using a tracking script for example) I will add a 'no-follow' attribute to the link to comply with Google's stance on paid links.
